Our growing engineering firm has an immediate opening for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. The mechanical design engineer will provide complete mechanical design and calculation for meat and food processing facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare engineering calculations. Provide mechanical engineering system design and layout, HVAC and utility piping systems for large facilities.

• Field evaluating and gathering required information. 25 to 30% travel is required.

• Communicate effectively among customers, vendors and other engineers.

• Achieve agreed outcomes within schedules and budgets.

• Continuously improve through feedback.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical system engineering and design experience (non-academic) is required, minimum 2 years of field or maintenance experiences.

• EIT is required, PE is highly desirable.

• Experience with AutoCAD/Revit and Mathcad.

• Travel to the manufacturing and processing facilities is involved up to 30%.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Highly efficient in reading and understanding specifications.

• Excellent time-management skills to meet promised schedules and attention to detail are a must.

• Strong work ethic and flexibility to work outside of normal business hours if needed.
